Mop/Mop honors Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson's long friendship and collaboration with legendary Bebop drummer Max Roach, with energetic moments for drum set throughout this richly scored, jazz-inspired symphonic sketch.

The Minnesota Orchestra performed this work on November 3, 2023 with conductor Kensho Watanabe as part of The Listening Project, an ongoing initiative to spotlight the music of historically underrepresented composers and to collaborate with a broader group of composers living today.
