Composer Jennifer Higdon wrote: "Created for and dedicated to Christina Naughton and Michelle Naughton, Jumble Dancing grew out of the excitement of hearing these two pianists make thrilling music, infused with energy and verve. The incredible control it takes for four hands dancing over one keyboard, making a piano sound like an orchestra of intricate rhythms, inspired this fun romp!" The Naughton sisters performed Jumble Dancing as an encore after Francis Poulenc's Concerto in D minor for Two Pianos and Orchestra during the Pride Celebration concert on June 21, 2024.
